Weston Backcountry, which has had an in-house sales team since 2016, recently shifted to the independent rep sales model. In 2024, Weston onboarded five new reps to cover the entirety of North America and Canada.
The Denver-based maker of bomber splitboards, skis & snowboards said in a statement, “The last two seasons of the post-COVID outdoor industry have taken a toll on sales, especially retailers. With independent reps being able to better service retailers on the ground, Weston will enhance and expand our ability to provide our retailers with best in class service to aid in these challenging times.”
The roster is as follows:
- Rockies – Sam Hoyt, Maple Street Associates
- Northwest/NorCal – Mallory Duncan, Uhuru Mountain Collective
- Southwest – Brandon Matteson
- Northeast – Lindsay Egan
- Canada – Dylan Maas
“We grew tremendously through Covid and added a number of retailers to our roster. It quickly became a challenge for our In-House team to provide the best in class service that we’ve been known for. While it will certainly be a change, we are very excited to see what this all-star team can bring to the table,” said Leo Tsuo, Weston Backcountry’s owner.
