The Warnaco Group, Inc. appointed Helen McCluskey as its chief operating officer. McCluskey previously served as Warnaco Group's president-intimate apparel and swimwear.
McCluskey, 55, will report to Joe Gromek, president and chief executive officer. Gromek who will continue to focus on Warnaco's brand portfolio, strategic direction, and the execution of its long-term growth plan.
Gromek said, “Since arriving at Warnaco in 2004, Helen has demonstrated extraordinary leadership skills that have facilitated our ability to strengthen and expand our brands, drive growth, and help us create shareholder value. Given her extensive industry experience, knowledge of our business, and proven track record, I believe Helen is the right executive at the right time to take on this new role and these expanded responsibilities as we look confidently to Warnaco's future.”
Warnaco's brands include Speedo as well as Calvin Klein jeans and intimate apparel.
