VF Corporation has revamped the organizational structure of its International Outdoor Coalition business, which should give the company better focus on each of the brands acquired over the last few years. Karl Heinz Salzburger, president of the group based in Lugano, Switzerland, said the various brands under the umbrella will now be grouped into three business areas: Outdoor International, Action Sports International, and Sportswear International.

Topher Gaylord, who was serving as VP/general manager for The North Face for International, has been named president of the new Outdoor International division, which includes both TNF and JanSport.

Martin Berendsen, who joins VFC after senior executive positions at Wolverine World Wide’s Caterpillar division and Dr. Martens in the U.K., has been named president of the Action Sports International business, which includes the Vans, Reef, and Eastpak brands.

Both execs will report to Salzburger.

Salzburger will continue to run the Sportswear International business, which includes VF’s Napapijri and Kipling brands, and the European business of Nautica, on an interim basis.
