Vert, a wearable athletic tech company, became an official partner with the USA Volleyball team as its National Governing Body puts injury prevention at the forefront while training for the 2016 Summer Games.
As the Official Wearable Tech of USA Volleyball, Vert is delivering jump measurements and player load analytics for the national team, providing new motivation for performance and improvement.
“Vert allows us to track our training loads in a way that’s never been done before,” said Karch Kiraly, who will serve as head coach of the U.S. Olympic Women’s Team. “The technology helps us train smarter and better allowing us to preserve our most precious resources: our athletes and their health.”
Vert technology is designed and manufactured in America, and is discreet and non-invasive. The technology allows players and coaches to track athletic measurements, including jump height, count, total load and more. The wearable sends the data to an app in real-time making it possible for players and coaches to make immediate decisions based on player performance and stats. Through the observance of player load, athletes and coaches alike can reduce the risk of over-exertion during practice while promoting optimal in-game performance.
“Vert has been an important part of our training as we keep track of our workload on the court, especially for athletes who might be coming back from injuries,” said Christa Dietzen, captain and middle on the U.S. Women’s National Team. “We are grateful for this cutting edge technology that will help athletes for years to come.”
