In March, Vaude acquired Edelrid and now both companies are setting integration strategies to use Vaude’s apparel experience with Edelrid’s hardgoods experience. Edelrid will continue to focus on developing, producing, and distributing climbing hardware but will also expand into industrial safety equipment. It will also take over product development and product manufacturing and distribution of the Vaude’s subsidiaries, Lucky climbing hardware, and Markill gas stoves and hydration systems.
