Vasque announced a restructuring of the company’s sales team, with new global sales director Joel Lee at the helm. Moving forward, Lee will oversee the U.S. sales manager position, which Vasque is looking to fill. This position will serve as the day-to-day support for U.S. sales reps.
“Vasque’s sale structure changes were made to improve service to our retailers, help streamline our go-to market process and support our international distributors,” said George Curleigh, vice president at Vasque. “As global sales director, Joel will continue to be responsible for supporting and expanding our international markets; he will be hiring a U.S. sales manager to support him and our retailers in our largest market. I would like to thank Chris Miller for all the great work he has done to help grow and support the Vasque brand over the last eight years as former Vasque US sales manager; he will remain a friend of the Vasque family.”
An avid runner, climber and skier, with over 14 years of experience at Black Diamond Equipment, Lee began his career in outdoor specialty retail in Montana as a buyer and store manager. He came to the Vasque team in December of 2016 as international sales manager.
“It is truly an honor to take on this new role with the Vasque team, and we are excited for the future,” said Lee. “As a 55-year-old brand, we can take what we have learned over the years and go forward with a modern vision. In many ways we are just getting started!”
