Vasque Footwear hired Bryce Wernsman as president. For the last three years, Wernsman has led marketing efforts as the senior director of global marketing at Red Wing Shoe Company, Vasque’s parent company, with a focus on the Red Wing Shoes brand, Red Wing Store retail network and digital transformation across the company.
In his new role, Wernsman will drive Vasque’s existing and new distribution, product and brand strategies across its emerging global markets.
Prior to his time at Red Wing Shoe Company, Wernsman held sales and marketing roles at Minnesota-based outdoor company, Polaris.
“Vasque is an incredible brand with a rich history of providing world-class footwear to outdoor enthusiasts,” said Wernsman. “I am incredibly honored to steward a brand so rich in history into a new era of consumer, product and distribution expansion. We have a talented Vasque team and together we are poised for continued growth.”
Allison Gettings, who has most recently led Vasque, will transition to vice president of business services at Red Wing Shoe Company.
“While I will dearly miss being part of the core team of this brand, I know that Bryce has the passion and the skill to help us drive our mission of inspiring people to find reprieve from every day in the great outdoors,” said Gettings. “Our work at Vasque remains a key part of our Red Wing Shoe Company business, and I will continue to work toward shepherding its success within the context of my new role.”
