Varsity Spirit will open its new headquarters in downtown Memphis, TN.

The 65,000-square-foot space is on the corner of Keel Avenue and North Front Street in the Historic Snuff District. For the last 20 years, the company’s 50,000-square-foot headquarters has been in East Memphis’ Lenox Center at 6745 Lenox Center Court. 

The new facility employs 170 local workers.

In a statement, the company said its relocated its headquarters for four reasons: 

  • Find a place that financially aligns with the organization’s goals;
  • Build an office that would attract and retain talent;
  • Be an active part of the community, add value to the community and be closer to two partners, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Memphis Grizzlies;
  • To create a presence in an area where Varsity Spirit can live out its mission of elevating student experiences;

Varsity Spirit is part of Varsity Brands, which owns BSN Sports and Herff Jones.
