SKI Magazine, in their annual “Top 60 Resort Guide,” has named Vail the number one ski resort in North America. “Vail has become America's ultimate ski destination,” says SKI's Executive Editor Greg Ditrinco, who oversees the annual survey.

Whistler/Blackomb was named number two with Deer Valley Utah in third. Readers ranked Tremblant, Que., number one in the East for the seventh year in a row.

The collective Vail Resorts walked away with top honors though, with all five of their resorts, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Heavenly making the top 15. “Vail Resorts is proud that Vail again ranks as the #1 ski resort in North America, and that three of our resorts rank in the top 10,” said Adam Aron, chairman and chief executive officer of Vail Resorts.

The resort management company seems to be on track for more praise from the skiing community with expansions planned at each resort for the 2003-04 season.
