Uvex Winter Holding GmbH & Co. KG (Uvex Group) reported revenues reached €117.2 million at its Sports and Leisure segment in the fiscal year ended June 30, up 6 percent from fiscal 2014.
The German company reported the segment, which makes and sells sports equipment under both the Uvex and Alpina bands, accounted for 29 percent of its sales during the most recent fiscal year. The remaining €276.3 million came from its Safety Group.
Uvex's Sports and Leisure segment comprises three areas of business:
- Winter sports: ski goggles, ski helmets, sports eyewear, protectors
- Cycling: cycling helmets, cycling eyewear
- Equestrian: riding helmets, sports eyewear, protectors.
Founded in 1926, the family-owned company is now being run by the third generation, while the fourth is already poised to follow in their footsteps. The headquarters of the globally active group of companies, which comprises 47 subsidiaries in 20 countries, is in Fürth Germany.
