Under Armour said Byron K. Adams Jr. has left his post as Under Armour Inc.’s senior advisor to Chairman and CEO Kevin Plank, effective Friday, according to a filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission.
Having served on the company’s board of directors since 2003, Adams joined the company’s management team in October 2011 as chief performance officer, responsible for the development of company-wide business strategy, human resources and organizational alignment and processes. He continued in this role until October 2013, when he began serving in his current role. Adams served as a member of the company’s board of directors throughout his tenure as an officer, and he will remain as a board member following the change.
