Uncle Dan’s, a specialty retailer of outdoor gear, apparel and camping supplies company, partnered with Major League Baseball. Under the agreement, Uncle Dan will be the Official Outdoor Outfitter of Major League Baseball. The new deal is part of a previously announced multi-year agreement between MLB and Camping World Holdings and select business brands in their portfolio.
This long-term partnership includes major licensing and retail components that will feature officially licensed MLB products sold at Uncle Dan’s and other CWH retailers. Camping World brands are also granted rights to produce MLB licensed items themselves in a variety of consumer product categories.
Marcus Lemonis, CEO of Camping World Holdings, said, “It is an honor to work with Major League Baseball, one of the most historic leagues in American sports. The League Championship Series presented by Camping World has already been one of the most exciting in years. We look forward to continuing to work with MLB and leveraging our extensive experience with outdoor enthusiasts around the country to create and provide the best game-day experience to its sports and outdoor loving fan base.”
Camping World plans to expand its brand awareness with an integrated marketing program that will reach millions of MLB fans through broadcast, digital, social, mobile and in-ballpark platforms. This includes LCS broadcast networks TBS, FOX and FS1, as well as MLB Media assets MLB Network, MLB.com and MLB Advanced Media mobile apps.
Said Noah Garden, MLB executive vice president, Business, “As we enjoy another memorable October of Postseason baseball, this was the perfect time to welcome Camping World to the MLB Family with a fully integrated partnership that will increase their brand awareness and deliver MLB products into their retail locations.”
