TYR Sport announced the re-signing of IRONMAN & IRONMAN 70.3 Champion Caroline Steffen to the company’s roster of sponsored athletes.

Steffen began her career racing for both the national swim and cycling teams in her native Switzerland, before finding her way to triathlons in 2009. Since that time she has earned countless titles including 2x ITU Long Course World Champion, IRONMAN Australia Champion, 2x IRONMAN European Champion, Challenge Roth Champion, 2x IRONMAN Asia-Pacific Champion and 23x IRONMAN 70.3 Champion. In 2015, she landed in the top ten for her performance at the IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, a race she has previously earned two second place podium finishes in. Since that time Caroline has championed a number of other races, including IRONMAN 70.3 Subic Bay, IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam and IRONMAN 70.3 Asia Pacific.

“I have been very fortunate in my triathlon career, and I know that it would have been far more challenging if not for the equipment of amazing sponsors like TYR,” began Steffen. “As I begin to balance life as both a first time mom and elite athlete, I am proud to have TYR continuing to support me on my journey. ”

Sharing in the sentiment, chief executive officer of TYR Sport Matt DiLorenzo added, “Caroline epitomizes what it means to be a champion. Throughout her career she has continuously pushed to dominate within the sport of triathlon, and we look forward to seeing what else she will achieve.”
