Tubbs Snowshoes announced Forest Hills Elementary in Sidman, PA and Splore, an organization out of Salt Lake City UT, as winners of their “Get Outdoors” Kids’ Contest.
“Both Forest Hills and Splore had the perfect combination of engaging, funny, and heartfelt submissions for why their program should win,” said Sarah Rose, marketing manager for Tubbs. “Forest Hills created Project R.I.O. (Rangers in the Outdoors) and had the top 10 reasons their program should win, while Splore’s submission showed their quest for a balance of their mission to get kids outdoors while experiencing Joy,” she said.
Splore and Forest Hills will be given approximately 30-40 snowshoes, along with the Tubbs’ Winter Fit® for Kids Programming. Splore’s program hopes to get youth out on snow 3-5 times a week, sometimes hosting outings multiple times a day. Forest Hills’ programming will reach 400+ students through P.E. classes and also in after school programs. In exchange, the winners will be sharing their successes and challenges with Tubbs followers.
