The Sports Authority has signed an agreement with Blue Entertainment
Sports Television (BEST) to return as presenting sponsor of national
Kick IT 3v3 soccer tournaments and Hoop It Up three-on-three basketball
tournaments.
The soccer and basketball events will begin in April. Contests will be
held in various markets, including Louisville, New York, Chicago,
Boston, Dallas, Miami and Philadelphia.
In some markets, Sports Authority stores will serve as check-in sites
for regional three-on-three soccer and basketball events, according to
a news release. The stores also will hold pre-event activities on
Friday nights prior to weekend tournaments.
Terms were not disclosed.
Louisville-based BEST manages professional athletes and entertainers,
produces sporting events and sports-related television programs, and
organizes participatory basketball, football and soccer tournaments for
amateur athletes. It is a division of Louisville-based Blue Equity LLC.
