Tracksmith, a running apparel brand that taps vintage track and field design inspiration, released a short video honoring the unique origin story of two runners.

Entitled “Home: Back To The Starting Line,” the video teases Tracksmith’s new Men’s and Women’s collections. The video featured Taylor Gilland, a runner who excelled in track and field in high school and college but did not run professionally. In 2014, Gilland broke a four-minute mile at an indoor meet in Boston. His scenes flash back to the running turf of his youth: Chapel Hill, NC.

Alongside Gilland, Lea Wallace is also featured in the video. Wallace was a high school track star who had a record-crushing career at Sacramento State and then the Olympic Trials. She’s currently retired from professional running, but still laces up for her own enjoyment.
