Tyler Mycoskie, founder of Toms Shoes, has launched MyGolfClub.com, a membership-based platform that gives golfers direct access to premium equipment at discounted pricing, with the goal of eliminating retail markups and opening the game to new players.

“Golf should be accessible. Period,” said Mycoskie in a media release. “For too long, the price of quality equipment has been a barrier. MyGolfClub.com is here to change that. No more inflated prices, no middlemen, just a smarter, fairer way to buy golf gear.”

The site provides clubs, balls, apparel, launch monitors, and other gear for an annual fee. Membership includes an equipment trade-in program, access to the Dollar Driver Club —a membership-based golf club testing and purchasing platform — in-house customer service, and free shipping with no minimum order.

Mycoskie stepped down as CEO of Toms in 2015, following the sale of a 50 percent stake in the company to Bain Capital in 2014. Mycoskie sold his remaining ownership stake in Toms Shoes to Jefferies Financial Group, Inc., Nexus Capital Management LP and Brookfield Asset Management Inc. in December 2019.

Mycoskie also co-founded Madefor, a wellness program, in 2020.
