The Outdoor Group of VNU Expositions recently announced the promotion of Andy Tompkins to the role of Show Director for the Outdoor Retailer Summer and Winter Markets and Fly-Fishing Retailer World Trade Expo, assuming the day-to-day responsibility of sales and marketing for all three events. Tompkins has been with VNU and Outdoor Retailer since 1996, and most recently held the position of National Sales Manager for the Outdoor Retailer and Fly-Fishing Retailer Tradeshows.

“This promotion is well deserved for Andy, and will enable me to focus on strategies, industry relationships, and growth opportunities for Outdoor Retailer and Fly-Fishing Retailer on a long term basis,” stated Peter Devin, OR/FFR Group Show Director.

“By expanding our leadership strength with Andy, we are looking to further our team’s ability to deliver the sales, market insight, and customer service to the over 1,300 exhibiting customers and thousands of attending customers that comprise the three shows,” stated Devin. Additionally, the group is immediately seeking a new Account Executive within the sales team for the Outdoor Retailer and Fly-Fishing Retailer Trade Expos.
