The TJX Cos., Inc. saw a 7% increase in November same-store sales. Total revenues advanced 10% to to $1.8 billion from $1.6 billion.

For the 43 weeks, sales reached $15.1 billion, a 7% increase over last year’s $14 billion. Consolidated comparable store sales increased 7% over last year.

Carol Meyrowitz, president and CEO, stated, “Our consolidated comparable store sales increase of 7% in November was above our expectations and a solid start to the fourth quarter. We are focused on flowing fresh, exciting gift-giving merchandise into our stores throughout this holiday season. Our continued discipline in maintaining a liquid inventory position allows us to take advantage of the plentiful buying opportunities in the marketplace.”

TJX operates 853 T.J. Maxx, 778 Marshalls, 289 HomeGoods, and 131 A.J. Wright stores, as well as 34 Bob’s Stores, in the United States. In Canada, it operates 191 Winners and 71 HomeSense stores, and in Europe, 225 T.K. Maxx stores.
