The Timberland Company announced several organizational changes aimed at strengthening the company’s sales and marketing effort globally, promoting Mike Harrison to SVP, worldwide sales and marketing; naming Scott Thresher as group VP of North America; and promoting Stewart Whitney to VP and GM of Timberland PRO.

Mike Harrison joined Timberland in 2003 as the Senior Vice President of Timberland’s international business. Under his leadership, Timberland’s international revenues and operating profits expanded at double-digit rates in both 2003 and 2004. In his new position, Mike will continue to lead Timberland’s businesses in international markets and will assume responsibility for the Company’s North American sales and marketing efforts.

Scott Thresher will have wholesale responsibilities for North America and the Timberland PRO® series business, which includes work boots and apparel for skilled craftsmen and working professionals. Scott joined Timberland 5 years ago as the Senior Director for Strategic Initiatives and was responsible for the launch of the company’s e-commerce business and was most recently the Vice President and General Manager for the Timberland PRO® series business.

Stewart Whitney has worked on the Timberland PRO® series business since its launch in 1999.
