Mike Lynskey has been appointed European wholesale director of footwear brand Timberland. Lynskey, who was Timberland UK's sales and marketing director earlier in his career, Will be responsible for the maintenance and development of Timberland's European wholesale business and will work closely with the brand's country specific teams to build on customer service and customer support. He will also continue to implement Timberland's new segmented distribution policy.
Lynskey was previously managing director for the outdoor group Europe at Wolverine, and had responsibility for its Merrell, Sebago and Patagonia brands in Europe. He left the business earlier this year after Wolverine said it was moving its regional offices to a central London location.
Prior to Wolverine, Lynskey worked at Clarks, developing and implementing global and regional sales strategies and before that he was at Timberland UK.
Lynskey will report in to Timberland's managing director for Europe, Richard O'Rourke.
