Timberland announced that Bob Sineni has been named vice president and general manager of the company’s Timberland Pro brand, which serves the industrial footwear and workwear markets.

In this role, Sineni is responsible for managing all aspects of the Timberland Pro business, including strategy, product, marketing, sales and operations. The appointment is effective immediately and Sineni will report to Jim Pisani, global brand president, Timberland.

Sineni comes to Timberland from Majestic Athletic, also a VF Corporation brand, where he served as director of the strategic channel since 2011. At Majestic, he focused his efforts on developing a high-performing team, ensuring channel-right product and elevating storytelling at retail. His leadership helped contribute to strong brand performance over the time period.

Prior to Majestic, Sineni spent 10 years as director of FedEx Worldwide services where he honed his leadership skills managing several high-profile strategic business portfolios. He began his career with Airborne Express as a sales representative. Over a 15-year span with the company, he advanced to the role of district sales manager and ultimately senior national accounts manager.

“We are thrilled to have Bob at the helm of the Timberland Pro business,” said Pisani. “He is a passionate leader who brings business acumen, team building skills and a proven track record of performance to this important role. We look forward to Bob’s many contributions as the Timberland Pro brand enters its next chapter of growth.”

Sineni holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Illinois State University. He and his wife will relocate to the Seacoast area of New Hampshire this fall.
