The Timberland Co. appointed Suja Chandrasekaran as chief information officer.  In this role, Suja will be responsible for the development and execution of Timberland's global information systems and strategies.

As one of her first priorities, Suja will be a member of the company's Program Leadership team and will lend her business process, data management, analytics and technology expertise and counsel to Timberland's effort to assess and transform its critical business systems and processes worldwide.  Suja will also lead Timberland's innovation in mobile technologies, unified communication and collaboration capabilities.  She will set strategy and execute the vision of the next generation IT organization.

Prior to joining Timberland, Suja was the vice president and chief technology officer for North America for PepsiCo. Before PepsiCo, she spent 10 years at Nestle, where she held a variety of positions, including Director of Application Infrastructure, Director of Business Process Integration & Development and Executive Director of ERP Implementations.

Suja holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras in India and a Masters in Business Systems from Mondash University in Melbourne, Australia.  She also has an active community service history with a number or organizations, including various diversity and inclusion organizations and Habitat for Humanity.
