Tifosi Optics, celebrating 20 years as a sport and lifestyle eyewear brand manufacturer, released the latest style in its endurance lineup—the Rivet.
While Rivet is associated with Tifosi’s endurance sunglass line, its frame “suggests otherwise.” Rivet’s half-frame design, constructed of Grilamid TR-90, increases airflow to prevent fogging while reducing weight. At 28g, the Rivet is one of Tifosi’s lightest endurance model sunglasses. Hydrophilic rubber ear and nose pieces are adjustable and “increase in grip the more you perspire.”
Rivet’s shatterproof and scratch-resistant polycarbonate lenses are amplified in size (42.1mm x 71.5mm) to fit medium to large face profiles and come in five lens combinations. In particular, the Satin Vapor colorway features this season’s Clarion Blue Fototec lens, which begins nearly clear and darkens to a smoke tint with a blue mirror in sunlight. For cyclists, Clarion Blue Fototec allows you to ride through varying light conditions without stopping to swap lenses, while the Enliven Golf lens elevates play on the links.
“Rivet is the perfect sunglass for people wanting a streamlined look while still having adequate coverage for activities like cycling and running,” commented Tifosi CEO Joe Earley. “We’ve folded Rivet into our endurance line of sunglasses, but its price, construction and style make it a great option for any summer activity like golf and racquet sports.”
