The Thermore Group, founded in Milan in 1972 by Lucio Siniscalchi, the company continues as a global insulation specialist for apparel with the third generation of the Siniscalchi family at the helm.
This year, Thermore launched EVOdown, made of 100 percent recycled fibers from PET bottles, bridging the gap between free fibers and traditional padding, delivering an ultra-soft hand and luxurious drape of blow-in fibers in a rolled form.
This hybrid technology allows the company to boost productivity and ease of manufacturing. EVOdown consists of millions of free fibers encapsulated by two containing outer layers, making it the only product of this type.
EVOdown Recycled is another step towards sustainability for the Milan-based company. It has now converted over 97 percent of its turnover into insulations made of either fully or partially recycled fibers, based on actual sales figures, bringing the company closer to an exclusively sustainable product.
Sustainability has been part of Thermore’s DNA, as the Group pioneered recycled fibers in the early 80s and mastered it after that.
