The Therm-a-Rest ToughSkin puncture-resistant self-inflating air mattress has won a Silver OutDoor INDUSTRY AWARD at the 2006 European OutDoor Trade Fair. The design competition, debuting this year, received 153 product submissions from 21 countries. An international jury of experts selected seven top products for gold and silver awards.
The OutDoor INDUSTRY AWARD was established to recognize those companies showing innovative technologies in the outdoor industry with appropriate functionality and design. The hope is the award will offer consumers purchasing guidance and give industry members incentive to gain competitive exposure.
“This award is certainly an honor, and we embrace a standard that over time consumers will recognize and associate with high-quality, very functional gear,” said Doug Jacot, Therm-a-Rest Product Development Manager. “By providing consumers with a product that is light enough for the trail and rugged enough to handle the most demanding conditions and provide comfort and warmth no matter what, we have created a new classic.”
