After nearly four decades of dedication and passion, Pierre André Senizergues is passing on the Sole Technology brands torch to the Nidecker brothers. The Nidecker Group, a 100 percent family-owned company, is said to be driven by the same values and has a rich history in action sports.
The Nidecker Group, which has its corporate offices in Rolle, Switzerland, has reportedly inked an agreement with Sole Technology to acquire its legendary portfolio of skate brands, including Etnies, éS, Emerica, and ThirtyTwo. Senizergues, Sole Technology’s founder, will continue to serve as the CEO and will retain a minority interest in the brands.
Since the creation of the Nidecker Group 137 years ago, every generation has reportedly been fueled by a passion for innovation and later action sports, the company said in a release announcing the deal to the market. As the latest generation driving that innovation engine, the Nidecker brothers are said to be extremely excited to venture into skateboarding and could not be more proud to ride into the future with Senizergues.
The Nidecker Group is already home to some the most innovative and inspirational board sports and lifestyle brands in Europe and beyond, including Bataleon, Jones, Nidecker, Rome, and #YES. Adding the SoleTechnology portfolio takes their board focus to the street with instant street cred.
“We have a deep admiration for Pierre and what he has built. His journey from humble beginnings to creating iconic
brands is nothing short of inspiring,” said Henry Nidecker, CEO, Nidecker Group. “We are honored to carry forward the
legacy of these brands, maintaining their authenticity and dedication to quality. Our shared values and commitment to the
action sports community will drive us to new heights together.”
Sole Technology has been at the forefront of core skateboarding and action sports, driving innovation in footwear and apparel, and fostering a deep connection with the community. Senizergues’ commitment and dedication have transformed Etnies, éS, Emerica, and ThirtyTwo into globally respected brands, known for their quality, performance, and authentic rider experience.
“This has been an incredible journey, building these beloved brands from the ground up and watching them grow,” said
Senizergues. “I am confident that Nidecker, with its longstanding history and rider-owned values, is the perfect new home for Etnies, éS, Emerica, and ThirtyTwo. We share the same values, and they represent the next generation with the energy and scale necessary to ensure that our brands can thrive in new and exciting ways.”
