The Buckle Inc. reported net income grew slightly in the fourth quarter, to $60.1 million, or $1.25 per share, from $59.3 million, or $1.24, a year ago.

Sales for the fourth quarter increased 4.3 percent to $353.5 million from net sales of $339.0 million for the prior year. Comparable store net sales increased 1.1 percent. Online sales (which are not included in comparable store sales) increased 12.6 percent to $33.0 million, compared to net sales of $29.3 million a year ago.

Net sales the year increased 2.2 percent to $1.153 billion from net sales of $1.128 billion for the prior year. Comparable store net sales were flat. Online sales (which are not included in comparable store sales) increased 6.0 percent to $94.3 million, compared to net sales of $89.0 million a year ago.

Net income for the fiscal year ended Jan. 31, 2015 was $162.6 million, or $3.39 per share ($3.38 per share on a diluted basis), compared with $162.6 million, or $3.41 per share ($3.39 per share on a diluted basis) for the fiscal year ended Feb. 1, 2014.

Headquartered in Kearney, NE, Buckle currently operates 462 retail stores in 44 states, which includes the opening of new stores this week in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and Omaha, Nebraska. As of the end of the fiscal year, it operated 460 stores in 44 states compared with 450 stores in 43 states at the end of fiscal 2013.
