The Hockey Company reported late Friday that the company has terminated discussions with Benetton Group SpA regarding THCs acquisition of Rollerblade.
The parties were unable to reach agreement on certain key commercial terms.
The original deal was announced in mid-December and had been expected to close by year-end 2002.
Benneton finally closed the deal in January for Tecnica to re-acquire the Nordica brand and the company is expected to reach a deal for Prince management to acquire the tennis brand.
As recently as The Super Show, Rollerblade management had indicated the deal for the in-line skate company was completed and all but the fine points were done.
