Nikita Clothing is proud to announce slope-style champion, and half-pipe hero Hannah Teter as the newest addition to their elite team of professional snowboarders and skateboarders. The deal was finalized at the end of November, just before Teter flew to Iceland to shoot the new catalog and hang out at Nikita’s Headquarters in Reykjavik.

“We had a great time with her,” say’s Heida Birgisdottir, the designer and President of Nikita Clothing. “She fits in really well, and we’re stoked to have her. She is amazingly talented.”

Last year, in addition to winning the U.S. Open Best Trick Quarter Pipe, landing the first ever front-side 900 in women’s half-pipe competition history AND being crowned Transworld Snowboarding’s Female Rookie of the Year, the 17 year old rider from Vermont placed in the top 3 spots of several major competitions, including the Grand Prix and the Mountain Dew Pro Nationals. This year she’s kicked things of with a gold medal at World Cup in Valle Nevado, Chile. Hannah truly is one of snowboarding most anticipated up-and-comers.

“I couldn’t be more psyched to be riding for Nikita.” Teter adds, “I know I made the right decision, and I am really proud to be on the team. I thought a lot about what I wanted to do and Nikita always felt right. We see eye to eye on things. And of course, I love their clothes!”

For the Winter’04 season Hannah Teter will join Nikita team riders: Natasza Zurek, Priscilla LeVac, Christel Thorensen, Minna Hesso, Keiko Yanagisawa and Mimi Knoop, as they travel the globe competing and representing for girls who ride everywhere.
