TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company has named David Abeles senior vice president and general manager for the TaylorMade Golf United States business unit. Abeles, formerly the vice president of sales and marketing for Cobra Golf, will oversee the 350-person force that is responsible for executing the TaylorMade business throughout the United States. Abeles will sit on the company's Senior Executive team and manage the sales, marketing and financial functions in the United States.

“We're pleased to have David back with the TaylorMade-adidas Golf family,” said Mark King, TMaG president and CEO. “His talent, experience, proven track record and prior knowledge of our company make for a fantastic combination. David has what it takes to drive our company's continued sales growth well into the future.”

Abeles served several roles with TaylorMade-adidas Golf from 1995-2001 as he advanced from the New York City territory sales representative – where he won the company's Salesman of the Year – to become national accounts manager, general manager of the Asia/Pacific region, director of sales and eventually to the position of director of global corporate sales and strategic alliances.

While at Cobra Golf, Abeles oversaw a period of rapid growth and brand development as sales grew five-fold in his six-year tenure.
