Suunto has named Kevin Hirsh as their North American Sales Rep of the Year for 2008.  Hirsh, of FHB Sales, covers Northern California and Northern Nevada and has been working with Suunto for over a year and a half.

“Since Kevin’s addition to the territory, it has consistently been one of the fastest growing territories and has been a huge part of our continued success and growth,” says Suunto North America Vice President and Business Director Matt Kaplan.  Kaplan also credits Hirsh’s experience in fitness, training and technology for helping Suunto better target Specialty Running accounts, which are a key aspect to the company’s growth initiatives.

Hirsh is honored by the award and gives credit to Suunto products for his success, “The new training line Suunto has introduced really helped. It’s a great design, easy to wear, accurate and we really addressed a need in the market.”

Although pleased with his accomplishment, Hirsh isn’t resting on his laurels, he is already focused on winning in 2009, “Even with the down economy it should be a successful year. I’ve been a rep in the territory and I know the competition and Suunto has the best product, so I can take that information into the field with me.”

Based out of Truckee, CA, Hirsh has an extensive background in sporting goods and outdoor sales.  He lives with his wife, Beth, and their two daughters, Hannah and Hailey.
