Superfeet Worldwide Inc. has moved into a newly constructed, custom-designed facility that houses the company's production, shipping and administrative departments. The medium sized company has operated from three separate buildings in Ferndale, WA since 2005, but recent hires have pushed the capacity of the old facility.

VP Marketing Randy Curran believes the move will not only unite three disparate buildings under one roof, but will help improve communication and provide much needed space for future growth.  Curran says, “Our new building reflects Superfeet's historical achievements, but even more importantly, it creates a wonderful atmosphere for our next generation of company leaders to continue growing our business with our Core Values in mind.”

Superfeet bought 5.92 acres one mile north of their current location in August 2008, but delayed construction due to the looming recession.  However, as the company continued to grow steadily throughout 2009, construction on the new facility was approved to begin in March 2010.  Curran adds, “We're proud to continue supporting the communities in Whatcom County, WA, where Superfeet originated.  The new facility was the major construction project in the area this year.”

Superfeet employed all local contractors and tradesmen when possible, and sourced 90% of the building's raw materials directly from Whatcom County.  The facility features water-saving and energy-conserving appliances, motion sensor lights, and an energy-efficient heating/cooling system.  The surrounding property is comprised of expansive green space including areas for employee recreation as well as protected wetlands.
