A culmination of years of teamwork by the Summit, Moultrie, Major League Bowhunter television show and the PRADCO Outdoor Brands (POB) sales teams has resulted in a new partnership with key retailer, Dick's Sporting Goods. Both Moultrie and Summit have added Dick's exclusive products to the retailers fall 2013 product assortment.

“About two years ago, our buyer asked if Summit would create a treestand that would be an exclusive for Dick's Sporting Goods,” says Monte Bennett, Summit regional sales manager. “He wanted us to come up with a stand that had a significant value to the Dick's customer base and still had the basic Summit climbing stand features.”

At that same time, founders of Major League Bowhunter (Jeff Danker, Chipper Jones and Matt Duff) were discussing TV sponsorship opportunities with Dick's Sporting Goods. “We sat down with the marketing team at Dick's and explained our show format and expressed our interest to partner up with them,” says Danker.  “I told everyone in that first meeting that I wanted to help promote the brands that believed in me and my show from the beginning. Moultrie and Summit have been great partners and helped make the MLB™ dream become a reality.”

“Soon after that first meeting, we worked out a deal with Dick's Sporting Goods to become the title sponsor of Major League Bowhunter and the licensed MLB products became a reality with a few of our key sponsors,” Danker said.

POB Account Executive Mike Carr had already been working with Bennett on the Summit, MLB™ Specialist. He then went straight to Moultrie National Sales Manager Kim French to develop a camera for the MLB™ product line. “We had unbelievable success with the No Glow infrared mini-camera last season, so we wanted to continue that momentum with the MLB-800i at Dick's this year,” French said. “This camera is packed with great features and hits an important price point and margin for Dick's.”
