Tucson, AZ-outdoor retailer Summit Hut planned opening of a new Oro Valley location. The store will open on Monday, July 1 with a three day Grand Opening Celebration to follow from Thursday, July 4th through Saturday, July 6th. Summit Hut will relocate their current Wetmore store to the new location at 7745 N. Oracle Rd. approximately ¾ of a mile north of the intersection of Ina & Oracle. The Wetmore store will remain open until the move, which will take place after closing time on June 30th.
The Grand Opening Celebration will kick off with an open to the public Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, July 4th at 8:50 a.m. with guest of honor Oro Valley Mayor Dr. Satish Hiremath. Other Grand Opening highlights include a free Marmot Kompressor Backpack for the first 100 customers on July 4th, Happy Hour on July 5th from 4pm-6:30pm with complimentary wine and beer presented by the Arizona Trail Association, 20% off the entire store from 9am-12pm on July 6th and other great discounts, prizes, presentations, food and giveaways throughout the event.
The Oro Valley store is currently in renovation process to transform the 9,500 foot space in the Oracle Crossings development into a premier shopping experience for customers. Photo opportunities are available throughout the renovation process upon request.
Summit Huts Speedway store will remain at its current location at 5045 E. Speedway Blvd. near the intersection of Rosemont Blvd. The new Oro Valley location will be just 5.9 miles from the site of the current Wetmore store.
Summit Hut is comprised of two Tucson area locations as well as integrated web and mail order businesses.
