STX LLC has been named the official puck supplier of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Ice Hockey Championships.
“STX is committed to the growth of amateur hockey in the U.S.,” said Matt Hoppe, senior global brand manager at STX. “Our company built its foundation supporting NCAA sports and we look forward to working with the NCAA to expose some of the sport’s most dedicated fans to STX hockey.”
As a part of the multi-year agreement, STX will provide pucks for all men’s and women’s Division I and III regional and championship games. In addition, STX will provide a souvenir gift to each student-athlete who qualifies for their respective championship tournament. STX will also play an important role in the Men’s Frozen Four, which will be held April 9-11 in Boston, MA, and will host the event’s media party on April 8. At the NCAA’s Frozen Four Fan Fest, STX will provide fans with the opportunity to win prizes, test equipment and get a sneak peek at its new ice hockey line launching later this year.
“As the season heats up, we are excited for STX to join us as an official supplier of the NCAA Ice Hockey Championships,” said Keith Martin, Managing Director of Marketing and Broadcast Alliances at the NCAA. “The championships are the pinnacle of the collegiate experience for our ice hockey student-athletes. We thank STX for supporting the NCAA and its student-athletes in this exciting championship journey.”
