Fleet Feet, Inc. is certainly getting a big kick out of the move to the running category as comp store sales for its franchisees jumped 10.5% in the first quarter. Total retail sales for the 64 stores increased 15.0% to $11 million.

Three new Fleet Feet stores opened for business in Q1 with Hickory, North Carolina; Madison, Wisconsin; and Stockton, California now in the mix. New stores are planned for Gaithersburg, Maryland; Kailua, Hawaii; and Elmhurst, Illinois this summer.
