Stio, the Jackson, Wyoming-based mountain apparel brand that only sells direct-to-consumers, has secured a lease to open its next Stio Mountain Studio in Chicagos flourishing Bucktown neighborhood.

Stios real estate partner Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) assisted in completing the transaction.

Stio chose the North Damen location after a national search for its active, outdoor-centric population and status as a hotspot for affluent young professionals. The ambiance of the historic warehouse storefront will be respected while being transformed into a modern, multi-level space that emulates Stios successful Jackson Hole Mountain Studio.

We are excited to open our second Stio Mountain Studio in Chicago,” stated Stio CEO/Founder Stephen Sullivan. We have quickly fallen in love with the Bucktown neighborhood and think it is a perfect fit for the Stio brand ethos, With year round airline service and four direct flights per day in the summer and winter, Chicago and Jackson Hole already have a strong connection. We look forward to bringing a bit of mountain soul to outdoor enthusiasts in this great American city.

Retail is a key component of Stios long-term strategy and the company has plans to open Stio Mountain Studios in carefully selected locations yearly. The brand continues to grow its direct-to-consumer business and recently launched its widely acclaimed Fall/Winter 2014 Collection.

The Stio Mountain Studio- Bucktown will open early in the spring of 2015.
