Stio, an apparel start-up by former Cloudveil co-founder Stephen Sullivan, has partnered with Tank Design, Blue Acorn, and Verde PR & Consulting to launch the firm.

Stio was formally created in the last year but has been a lifetime in the making for founder and industry veteran, Stephen Sullivan. The brand required a team capable of executing on its unique brand position and direct-to-consumer platform. Stio’s website and catalog creative is being forged through a relationship with Tank Design, an award-winning group with offices in Boston, New York, and San Francisco known for its multi-channel strategy and design capabilities. Tank’s client roster includes FedEx, Puma, Rue La La, and Tumi.

Product will be offered through Stio’s full-service e-commerce web store, consumer catalogs and flagship retail store in Jackson Hole, WY. Blue Acorn, a leading e-commerce development firm in Charleston, SC is charged with building out the Stio website on the Magento platform.

Jackson, WY and Boulder, CO-based, Verde PR & Consulting, was chosen to manage public relations and launch brand awareness campaigns through traditional, digital and social communication channels. Verde PR’s decade-long leadership and understanding of the outdoor, lifestyle, and active markets, will help Stio become recognized as the premier mountain lifestyle brand.

“We’re very excited to have partnered with these three firms,” said Stio Marketing Director Noah Waterhouse. “It’s extraordinary to see how quickly Tank has been able to manifest the brand vision, and we’re already seeing traction with Verde’s efforts. Our Magento e-commerce site will be a key venue for customer interaction and transactions, and we have a great partner for that effort in Blue Acorn.”

Stio will debut in the Fall of 2012.
