Steven Madden Ltd.'s chairman and chief executive, Jamieson Karson, has resigned. The company said Edward Rosenfeld, executive vice president of strategic planning and finance, has been named interim chief executive.
Walter Yetnikoff, an independent director, has been chosen as the new nonexecutive chairman of the board.
The company said both appointments are effective immediately.
Steven Madden added that Karson is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
