Stein Mart, Inc. today reported total sales and comparable store sales for the fiscal period(s) ended July 5, 2008.During June, comparable stores sales of ladies' casual sportswear, and ladies' dresses and social occasion were positive, while gifts, linens and ladies' career were significantly below Company trend.
Geographically, sales were better than the Company trend in Texas and the mid-South, but sales in Florida and Arizona were well below the Company trend.
