Pacific Market International (PMI), the manufacturer of food and beverage container solutions including the Stanley brand, announced David Parker has been hired as chief financial officer and chief operating officer.
Parker will have global responsibility for the finance, accounting, supply chain, IT, legal and business transformation functions of PMI, reporting to CEO Bob Keller.
“David is a seasoned strategic executive and ideal for PMI as we grow as an organization,” said Bob Keller, CEO of Pacific Market International. “David has significant experience in consumer and technology companies and a successful track record of driving financial growth and operational excellence. David’s leadership will be instrumental in shaping our future strategy.”
Parker’s experience in finance, operations, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and general leadership spans a wide variety of industries and global businesses. Most recently, he served as the CFO and COO of The Honest Company (THC), a leading healthy consumer products brand co-founded by Jessica Alba. Significant results during Parker’s tenure included scaling the business from launch to over $300 million in revenues, streamlined operations and product innovation, as well as raising over $250 million of equity-financing.
“Pacific Market International is a true icon in the industry with its focus on sustainability, value-driven innovation and high-quality products,” said Parker. “Many people today own Stanley thermoses, handed down over generations from their parents and grandparents. I’m thrilled to join an organization that’s driven by a deep, lasting commitment to its customers, and look forward to partnering with the team in leading the company forward.”
Prior to THC, Parker spent 5 years as the CFO of Lightspeed GMI – overseeing its successful turnaround and sale to WPP Group in 2011. That year, the Puget Sound Business Journal named David a finalist for CFO of the Year. Before GMI, David served in a variety of financial leadership and corporate development roles at Getty Images and General Electric. He began his career with Coopers & Lybrand LLP.
Parker holds a B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Oregon and is a graduate of the International Business Program at Nyenrode Business Universiteit.
