Adidas has replaced Nike as the official outfitter of St. John’s University’s Red Storm athletic programs. The school’s partnership with Nike began in 2019, following the school’s flip from Under Armour, which lasted six years.

Adidas will begin outfitting the school’s 300-plus student athletes in the 2025/26 academic year across 17 varsity athletic programs. The change comes as St. John’s, under the guidance of second-year coach Rick Pitino, secured its first Big East regular-season title in 40 years and its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2019 last year. It also marks the first time Adidas has partnered with St. John’s.

Through the partnership, St. John’s University Red Storm becomes the only Big East Conference team to be outfitted by Adidas.

In recognition of the new partnership, St. John’s University and Adidas will host a consumer-centric launch event on Wednesday, July 16, at the Adidas Brand Center New York, located at 610 Broadway in Manhattan.

St. John’s University Athletics partnered with College Athletics Management (CAM) and President Pat Flynn to broker the partnership with Adidas.
