The Sr. Developer works as a member of development team to produce world class products, which meet or exceed company and category expectations with regard to brand integrity, design, product innovation and return on investment. Contributes to the research and implementation of new and existing materials, components and shoe making techniques in order to aid design and advance the innovation of the product for the assigned category. Maintains the daily development activities with respect to their assigned projects to achieve seasonal category results from conception through completion of approved confirmation standards and buy readiness.
Qualifications: 5-7 years of footwear product development experience preferably in a performance footwear environment. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or equivalent footwear industry experience. Demonstrated leadership skills and an ability to work independently. Excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Travel – Travel to manufacturing locations, development centers and vendors to oversee the execution of footwear creation process. Additionally, trips to trade shows and locations necessary for keeping current with future trends in R&D as necessary.
