Joe Vernachio has been promoted to Spyder’s chief operating officer post and immediately assumes responsibility for all Spyder operations. Vernachio previously held positions as executive vice president of product and VP of development and production.
His two-decade career in the apparel industry includes tenure at Nike, Patagonia, Calvin Klein and Roots.
“Joe is an invaluable asset to the company and to my vision of delivering the most responsive, respected brand in the industry. He has incredible experience, interdepartmental insight, and most importantly, an ability to manage change during periods of rapid growth,” said Spyder CEO Tom McGann.
Vernachio is positioned to affect all facets of business operations. “My focus will be to streamline the integrated supply chain to make it easy for our customers to do business with us,” he said. “There are positive changes happening at Spyder, and Im glad to be part of them.”
The operations, distribution, sourcing, production, materials, and research and development teams report to Vernachio. His previous position of VP of product and merchandising has been filled, but the company has not yet disclosed who will fill the role.
