Spyder Europe AG appointed Eduard Kaiser as the new European sales and marketing director. In his new role, Kaiser will be responsible for Spyder sales and oversee all retail and consumer marketing in the various European markets.

Kaiser began his career in the sports industry working for Benetton Sportsystems before taking on the role of business unit manager at Adidas/Salomon for four years. Kaiser went on to hold several positions in the fashion industry as brand director of Lee, CEO of North Sails Germany and country manager for Germany with the UK denim brand, Firetrap. In 2008, Kaiser returned to his passion of sports working for the Italian skiwear company, Anzi Besson and as a freelance consultant for ABS Lawinedairbags.

Kaiser reports directly to Cees de Witte, executive vice president of global sales and president of Spyder Europe. “It was important to fill the position with a person boasting a track record in international sales and marketing and convincingly representing the Spyder philosophy towards retailers. On the basis of his previous positions, Kaiser proves without a doubt he can successfully lead key players on the market with skill and composure. We are very confident that we can maintain and even consolidate our leading market position with Kaiser,” said de Witte.

To kick off his official start with the iconic brand, Kaiser headed down to Portillo, Chile during Spyder's recent photo shoot trip to capture its world class team skiing the steep and deep of the Andes Mountains. The twelve-day adventure helped familiarize Kaiser with the brand and its high profile team.
