Sport Chalet, Inc. is celebrating the grand opening of its new 42,000+ sq. ft. store, including an on-site pool, at the Citrus Plaza, in the city of Redlands, California. This will be the company's 29th store location.
A grand opening celebration and sale is scheduled for Friday, November 7th through Sunday, November 9th. Exciting activities are to include the Gale Webb Extreme Sports & Air Show, the GT/Mongoose Bike Stunt Show, the Bubblemaker/SASY/SCUBA Experience, a bungee trampoline, a climbing wall, fishing seminars, yoga demonstrations, radio station appearances, and much more on Saturday and Sunday.
There are several celebrity guests scheduled to appear on Saturday, including former All-Pro defensive lineman and Super Bowl XX hero for the Chicago Bears, William “the Refrigerator” Perry; BMX World Champion, Eric Carter; world-class surfer, Brad Gerlach; pro surfer, Danny Nichols and up-and-coming surfer, Asa Desmet. On Sunday, 5-Time Olympic Gold Medalist in swimming, Janet Evans, and BMX rider, Robbie Miranda, are scheduled to sign autographs. In addition, Sport Chalet will have several vendor booths and sales representatives showcasing their products, and will offer prizes and giveaways all weekend long.
In response to the devastating fires across Southern California, Sport Chalet will set up a station at the Redlands store grand opening to accept monetary donations to help those affected by the fires in the San Bernardino Mountains, benefiting the American Red Cross Inland Empire Chapter. Sport Chalet will match all monetary donations up to $20,000 to help the victims in this area.
