Roam Investment Group, based in Easton, PA, has acquired Speedsleev, the maker of minimalist saddlebags and handlebar bags.

Paul Jarrell, the founder of Roam Investment Group, has been president and managing director of  SpeedSleev since May 2021. He was a partner and chief operating officer at Allied Cycle Works from August 2017 to August 2020.

According to Bicycle Retailer, Jarrell said the acquisition of Speedsleev would enable the company to expand its product offering, increase distribution to BTI and retailers, establish new worldwide distribution channels , and expand U.S. manufacturing.

Roam Investment Group had previously held investments in Allied and in Domestic Bikes.

Speedsleev was founded in 2011 by Rob Allen. Allen said, “I enjoyed pushing the edge on minimalist and redefining a category that was largely unchanged for decades. I am excited to see what Paul and his team will do to continue and evolve the product lines and the company with fresh ideas and new capital.”
