Carmichael Training Systems has partnered with Specialized for 2006 and beyond. All CTS coaches, including the company’s founder and CEO, Chris Carmichael, will rely on Specialized technology for every ride, camp and clinic. CTS will also feature Specialized bikes and other Specialized equipment in their popular series of training books and DVDs, and in other media appearances.

“With road and mountain products that address the needs of everyone from beginners to Tour de France contenders, Specialized was a natural choice for us,” says Carmichael. “Personally, I’m excited to hit the road on my new Tarmac SL, it’ll be the lightest and best handling bike I’ve ever ridden.”

“Chris brings special expertise to the Specialized brand. His history of working with athletes and riders at the highest level is the perfect compliment to many of our current and future plans,” says Specialized founder and President Mike Sinyard. “Working closely with CTS to fine tune and deploy programs like our new Body Geometry Fit system as well as giving Specialized dealers a clear value add makes the CTS partnership a major focus for us this year. We also look forward to incorporating Chris’ vast product knowledge into the development of future projects.”

Specialized will also help promote Carmichael Training Systems wide range of products and services.

Carmichael and the rest of the CTS staff debuted their Tarmac SL road bikes and other Specialized gear, including optics, last week at their series of demanding spring training camps in Buellton, California.
