Solstice Outdoor, Inc. has moved from its previous location in Northeast Portland to a larger building in the quickly developing North Portland neighborhood. The move took place in October 2007 to accommodate the company's growth and brand re-launch.
The new Solstice building is 20,000 square feet; double the size of the companys previous headquarters. Half of that space is offices and the other half is the product warehouse. The building décor is a unique contemporary meets industrial style. Stretched out across a large wall space is an attention-grabbing piece of art in the form of an Analemma; the shape represents the rotation of the sun over a year and peaks at the two solstices. Another appealing feature is the rock-climbing wall that takes over one side of the companys showroom.
Solstice has a few more design projects planned but the company expects the building to be done within the next few months.
